Our verdict

This 7-day itinerary is Tanzania's bucket-list - Big Five safari in the 3 northern UNESCO parks (Tarangire + Ngorongoro + Serengeti) followed by paradise beach finish in Zanzibar (UNESCO Stone Town + Nungwi). Internal Serengeti-Zanzibar charter flight essential to make itinerary feasible in 1 week. Significant budget (€3,500-6,000/person) but unique world experience. Visit in June-October (dry season + Mara Migration) or January-February (Southern Serengeti births). For 10-14 days, extend with Lake Manyara, Mafia Island (diving + dugongs), or Kilimanjaro ascent 5-7 days.
