The north-east side of Saint Martin is the island's lively seaside coast — that of Orient Bay and its 2 km of iconic beach, the protected and secluded Anse Marcel, and unforgettable excursions to the islets of Pinel and Tintamarre. For a 7-10 day stay in Saint Martin, it's the area to devote at least 2 to 3 days to.
The visit organises itself around two main poles: Orient Bay (lively seaside, water sports, lolos, festive atmosphere) and Anse Marcel (discreet luxury, protected bay, absolute calm). The excursions to Pinel (from Cul-de-Sac, 25 min by shuttle) and Tintamarre (catamaran from Orient Bay, full day) complete the experience.
For a short stay (2 days): day 1 Orient Bay (water sports, lolo, leisure), day 2 excursion to Pinel. For 3-4 days: add Tintamarre by catamaran (exceptional snorkelling) and a relaxing day at Anse Marcel. For a complete stay in Saint Martin (7-10 days), alternate 2-3 days on the north-east side with 4-5 days on the western French side (Marigot, Grand-Case) — that's the ideal combination.
