The culinary experience is the heart of the Grand-Case offer. Alternate during your stay: lolos for lunches and some relaxed dinners (Talk of the Town, Sky's the Limit, Rosemary's, €15-25/person), gastronomic restaurants for 2-3 dinners (Bistrot Caraïbes, Le Pressoir, Sol e Luna, €50-150/person). Book 1-2 weeks ahead for gastronomic in high season.
The Mardis de Grand-Case (mid-January to late April, 6-11 pm) are the event not to miss. Pedestrian street, artisans, live music, festive atmosphere. Book if possible an outdoor table.
The Grand-Case beach (1.5 km) is lived during the day — swimming, paddle (rental €15-25/hour), kayak, snorkelling along the bay (multicoloured fish, sometimes turtles). Some paid sun loungers in front of hotels, free otherwise. At the north-west end of the bay, the Petite Plage (5 min walk) is wilder and ideal for snorkelling.
The sunset is the magical moment. Aperitif on the beach with a ti-punch (€4-6) or cocktail (€8-12) in one of the beach bars — Calmos Café (creative, young atmosphere), Bar de la Baie, Sunset Beach Café. Around 6 pm in winter, 6:30 pm in summer.
