Warrnambool (30 min from Port Campbell, official GOR end): Logan's Beach Whale Nursery (June-September, humpback whale watching from cliff, free — one of Australia's best whale observations), Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve (volcanic crater with wild fauna: emus, kangaroos, koalas, free), Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum (AUD 15, maritime history).
Return Melbourne via interior via Colac and Geelong (3h drive, Princes Highway motorway) — faster than GOR.
