Coron is among the most accessible Philippine destinations financially, even compared with El Nido or Boracay. The indicative daily budget of €45 per person corresponds to an independent traveler at intermediate comfort: a room in a decent guesthouse, meals at local restaurants and one boat trip every other day on average.
Accommodation is the main line item. A double room in a simple but clean guesthouse in Coron town costs €14–27 per night (PHP 800–1,500). Dorm beds run €7–11 (PHP 400–600). Mid-tier hotels with a pool and a bay view sit at €35–62 (PHP 2,000–3,500). The rare upscale resorts on outlying islands clear €88 per night (PHP 5,000+).
Food is cheap if you eat at the many local restaurants and carinderias at the market. A full Filipino meal (rice, grilled fish or chicken adobo, water) costs €2.70–4.50 (PHP 150–250). Tourist restaurants around the port charge two to three times that for a main course, €7–12 (PHP 400–700). A fresh-fruit cocktail or a San Miguel beer costs €0.90–1.40 (PHP 50–80).
Activities are the variable part of the budget. A Coron Island day tour (Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Barracuda Lake) costs €12–21 (PHP 700–1,200) depending on the operator. A wreck diving day (2 dives, tanks, guide) runs €35–53 (PHP 2,000–3,000). Snorkeling on shallow wrecks costs €11–18 (PHP 600–1,000). The Maquinit hot springs entry is €4.50 (PHP 250). Local transport (tricycles between nearby sites) is negligible.
Three budget profiles emerge clearly. The backpacker manages €25–35 per day: dorm, market meals, shared group tours. The mid-range traveler budgets €40–60 per day: private room, decent restaurants, two to three boat trips a week. The high-end traveler, with a resort on a private island and daily diving, spends €90–130 per day. Coming in November or early December saves 20 to 30 percent on accommodation compared to the January-March peak.
