   Direct Paris-Noumea (NOU) flight via Tokyo Narita (Air France-Japan Airlines) or Singapore (Aircalin): 24-26h total with stopover, €1,500-2,800 return depending on season. No visa (French COM, French ID technically sufficient, passport recommended for transits). Time difference +10h winter / +9h summer (southern hemisphere). Land at La Tontouta (45 km north of Noumea, 45 min by shuttle - 4500 XPF). Rental car ESSENTIAL (4500-7000 XPF/day = €38-58). Settle hotel at Anse Vata or Baie des Citrons (Le Meridien Noumea 25000-40000 XPF, Hilton 28000-45000 XPF, residence 12000-20000 XPF).    Day 2

   Noumea: Tjibaou + lagoon + Aquarium

   Morning Tjibaou Cultural Centre (Kanak art museum designed by Renzo Piano, opened 1998, 700 XPF, 2-3h visit): the Pacific's most important cultural centre, dedicated to Kanak culture and independentist leader Jean-Marie Tjibaou. Iconic architecture: 10 tall wooden 'cases' inspired by traditional Kanak houses. Afternoon Aquarium des Lagons (1800 XPF): presentation of Caledonian reefs (UNESCO lagoon 24,000 km²), living nautiluses (living fossils), reef sharks. Sunset at Anse Vata or Baie des Citrons (Noumea skyline + turquoise lagoon). Dinner Le Sextant (gastronomic, 8000-12000 XPF) or Le Manguier (50000-70000 XPF, panoramic view).

   West coast: Bourail + Bay of Turtles

   Drive to the north-west (2h30 from Noumea, 170 km, correct road). Bourail: former convict town (1864), today the north's rural capital. Bay of Turtles beach (white sand, turquoise lagoon) with La Roche Percee (iconic natural arch carved in the limestone cliff — NC symbol). Bonhomme de Bourail (rock sculpted by erosion) 5 min away. Deserted beaches even in high season. Lunch Hotel La Nera or Restaurant Le Mocambo (grilled fish 3500-4500 XPF). Afternoon Domaine des Trois Bras (Caledonian vineyard) or Roche Percee Reserve. Snorkeling possible. Night in Bourail (Hotel La Nera 12000 XPF, local gite 7000 XPF) or return Noumea evening.

   Day 4

   Flight Isle of Pines + Bay of Oro

   Return Noumea morning. Aircal internal flight Noumea → Isle of Pines (25 min, 25000-35000 XPF return - book 2 months ahead). Land at Moue. Settle hotel Le Meridien Isle of Pines (45000-75000 XPF, the only 5* on the island, on Bay of Oro - SIGNATURE), Oure Tera Beach Resort (30000-50000 XPF) or traditional Kunie family pension (12000-18000 XPF). Afternoon Bay of Oro natural pool: THE signature experience of the Isle of Pines. Walk barefoot in a crystalline 25 °C lagoon, framed by endemic colonnar pines (Araucaria columnaris, up to 60 m) and white sand beaches. Snorkeling: sea turtles, coral fish, possibly white-tip reef shark. Iconic sunset: worldwide postcard photo.

   Isle of Pines: Kuto + Upi Bay + Queen Hortense Grotto

   Full day on the Isle of Pines (15 km long). Kuto beach morning: crescent of white sand and turquoise water, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and Pacific combined. Adjacent Kanumera beach: Kanak sacred rock to respect. Afternoon traditional outrigger excursion in Upi Bay (4000-5500 XPF/person, 2h): navigation between turquoise waters and karst pinnacles, swimming in deserted coves, possibly feet-in-water lunch. Continuation Queen Hortense Grotto (legend of Queen Kunie hidden in 1885, 5 min walk from road, free). Evening dinner at Meridien (French cuisine + Oceanian influences, 9000-15000 XPF/person) or family pension (grilled fish + bougna, 3500-5000 XPF).

   Return Noumea + Loyalty Islands (Lifou day-trip)

   Morning return Noumea (25 min flight) or EXTEND Isle of Pines if short-trip. Alternative: Lifou day-trip (Loyalty Islands). Aircal flight Noumea → Wanaham (Lifou) (40 min, 30000-40000 XPF return). Lifou is the largest of the three Loyalty Islands, 1,200 km², 8,000 Kanak inhabitants. Visit Luengoni beach (intense pink sand, coral reef 200 m offshore, excellent snorkeling), Jokin cliffs (80 m high panorama over Pacific Ocean), authentic We village (administrative centre). Return Noumea evening or hotel-pension stay on Lifou (Hotel Drehu Village 20000-30000 XPF, the only comfort on Lifou).

   Free morning Noumea: last swim Anse Vata, shopping at Noumea market (Kanak crafts: pottery, wood sculptures, pareos, niaouli honey, Lifou vanilla). Brunch at Bout du Monde (Anse Vata, 4500-6500 XPF). Return car at Tontouta airport. 3h airport margin (controls + transit). Noumea → Paris CDG flight via Tokyo or Singapore (24-28h return, headwind). -10h time difference back to France. End of Caledonian trip.
