Lifou offers a variety of activities over 3-4 days.
Jokin cliffs (half-day): climb on foot (30 min from Jokin tribal parking) to the top of the cliffs (50 m), visit the chapel (1898), optional descent to the cove (30 min descent, 45 min climb back).
Luengoni beach + limestone caves (full day): 35 km from Wé. White sand beach, snorkelling. Limestone caves with freshwater pools — visit with Kanak guide from the tribe (€5-15/person, 1 h walk).
Peng beach (half-day): coral reef accessible from shore, exceptional snorkelling.
Pene Hila blowhole (1-2 h): 10 km south of Wé. Spectacular marine phenomenon at rising tide.
Wé village (administrative centre, 2-3 h): Saturday morning Kanak market.
Mucaweng vanilla plantation visit (2-3 h): discovery of bourbon vanilla cultivation. Purchase possible.
Wadrilla caves (half-day): karst caves visited with Kanak guide.
Bottle diving (€70-110/dive): preserved reefs, 30 m visibility in dry season.
Tribal immersion: shared bougna meal with host family.
