Budget — Wadi Rum

The budget for a stay in Wadi Rum varies greatly depending on the type of camp chosen. Count around €100 per person per day for a comfortable experience (mid-range camp, zarb dinner included, half-day 4x4 tour included).

Budget camps (traditional Bedouin tents, shared bathrooms, zarb dinner and breakfast included, half-day 4x4 included) cost €40-80 per person per night. Good addresses: Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp, Rahayeb Desert Camp, Salem's Camp. It is the authentic option favoured by backpackers and rustic experience lovers.

Mid-range camps (permanent tents with private bathrooms, improved dinner, half-day 4x4 included) cost €80-150 per person per night. Good addresses: Hasan Zawaideh Camp, Wadi Rum Magic Camp, Bedouin Lifestyle Camp, Sun City Camp (entry level). Excellent experience for most travellers.

Luxury camps with transparent bubble tents (canopy over the starscape, private bathroom, air conditioning, gastronomic dinner, half-day 4x4 and activities included) cost €180-400 per person per night. Good addresses: Memories Aicha Luxury Camp, Sun City Camp (Martian Tents), Bubble Luxotel Wadi Rum, Wadi Rum Night Luxury Camp. It is the ideal experience for honeymoons and travellers seeking comfort.

Additional tours: full-day 4x4 €80-120, camel trek €15-25, guided climbing €50-150, 2-3 day trek €150-300.

Entry fees to the Wadi Rum protected park are modest: 5 JOD (€6.50) without Jordan Pass, free with Jordan Pass (recommended: 70-80 JOD depending on version, €85-100, includes visa and 40 sites).

Transport from Petra or Aqaba is not included in camp packages: count 20-30 JOD (€25-40) by private taxi from Aqaba, 35-50 JOD (€45-65) from Petra. Your camp usually arranges the transfer from the park Visitor Centre upon your arrival.
