On-site lodging: Silica Hotel (4-star, private Silica Lagoon access) €350-500/night, Retreat at Blue Lagoon (5-star, private Retreat Spa access) €600-1,200/night. Book 4-6 months ahead in high season.
Transport: hire car 20 min from Keflavík (free), FlyBus shuttle from Reykjavik €30 return, from Keflavík €25 return, taxi from Reykjavik €120-150 (not recommended).
Comparison with alternatives: Sky Lagoon (Reykjavik) €60-100, Mývatn Nature Baths (north) €50-60, Secret Lagoon Flúðir €30, public pools (sundlaugar) €8-12. The Blue Lagoon is 2 to 5 times more expensive than alternatives, but offers the most iconic and complete experience. For a constrained budget: consider Sky Lagoon (excellent immersion-quality-price ratio) or Mývatn Nature Baths if you're in the north.
